I'm southern so:
Sweetie, sugar, honey, baby girl or baby boy, honey child, sweetie pie, 'darlin' for a girl, munchkin, hercules -boy, princess-girl, curtain climber, rug rat....I could go on but this is enough. They all have the right time or place...some people don't use these phrases unless they know the child really well.

I call my kids, punkin, sweetie pie, sweet cheeks, munchkin, and basically anything cute that comes to mind at that very moment no matter how silly it sounds. They laugh all the time at the cute little names that come out of my mouth. :)
