Fever and rash?
My 7 year old has had a fever for the past 2 days off and on. He has been tired and complains of a headache and belly ache. He has been exposed to Rubella but has been vaccinated so I thought he just had the flu. Today he seems to be feeling a bit better but broke out in a rash which is tiny pink dots on his face, legs and back which he states are not itchy. I called the nurse helpline and she said it was not the measles because he was vaccinated. I am taking him to the clinic tomorrow but wanted some info first because I think that the nurse may be wrong. Any info or insight would be helpful.
Thanks

Take your child to the ER or a local clinic to rule out chicken pox, or allergy reaction to anything. Make sure that your child is not allergic to anything such as food or the soap that he uses.
Make sure that you don't use too much soap when you wash the clothes, or use too much fabric softeners.
Sometimes ruling things out in our own homes works but it is also good to take the person to the doctor to make sure everyone is healthy.

It would be much better of an idea to take him to Urgent Care, and no nurse on the HealthLine should comment on what something is or isnt without seeing the patient.

The skin rash page at the source below may help.
