Theres no such thing. ALL computer brands buy there parts from other companies, they only assemble them. They mostly just buy there parts from the same companies too. The only differences are the labels...

Its the specs you have to look at. The proccesor clockrate and cache, the amount of ram and how many channels it has, and what speed it is, the size of the hard drive and rotations per minute, the expandability of the motherboard... brands have nothing to do with anything.

In general, stay away from macs and vaios, as they are always overpriced; they use the same components as any other brand, but mark up prices 30% or more because the vaois look very pretty and the macs have the mac OS, wich can technically be run on any system anyways, and is actually just a knock off of linux wich is free.

,I personally prefer Hewlett Packard. I haven't had any problems with it. And as for security I chose the semantec Norton anti-virus 2007. I haven't had any problems. As for gaming Hewlett Packard has come out with a new system called Voodoo. I haven't tried it for myself yet but I am hearing good things about it. I used to have a Dell but after repeated problems I decided to try HP and I'm glad I did. Now I do know several people that have the new Apple iMac and love it. I have to admit it's pretty impressive, but it's quite a change from the standard windows I'm used to. And I've heard that it takes some getting used to. But once you get used to it's pretty cool. So what ever you choose, just make sure you are getting the features that you really want. HAVE FUN!!!

Apple :) A mac is easy to use, and has amazing possibilities.

If you are a sole PC user, I would say a Toshiba, or HP. Those are pretty popular, and have been doing very well.

yep i agree with the first poster a hp for lap and homemade for a desktop. But if you insist one already made up i would stay away from mail order. And get one from a reputable local dealer.

I like Hewlet Packard for Notebooks(for price and performance), and homebrew(made from scratch) for Desktop.

  • Hp is the brand that i like plus it works very well
