Which will win the battle: Blue-Ray or HD-DVD?

This is just like the VHS/BETA fight... and we all know what happened there. (My parents bought a BETA VCR... it was useless after a year)

So who will win this one? SONY is behind Blue-Ray.... that is a lot of weight. What do you think?

I personally think that Blu-Ray will win. It has more movie studio support along with many other companies such as Blockbuster and Dell.

DVD is here to stay, take vhs versus beta, everyone ran out and bought a beta, everyone thought it would be better and the vhs would be history, i don't need to tell you what happens next. Sony made beta, now they are making a comeback with blue ray, every company made vhs and everycompany now makes dvd, so this is like de ja vu dont you think. Also there is much more options on the shelves for DVD vs. Blu ray, ppl go where the selection is. ALSO NO ONE EVER HERES ABOUT laser discs anymore they were in and out in like a month. Sony should stop making these hasbeen products that never last and stop trying to develop somethging different, go where the money and market is man. I still have a Beta though haha, just thought it may be worth something in several hundred years, highly unlikely.,
