Could it be that he's not attracted to girls? I'm sure he's been hard before, so he should look at what turns him on. If he's turned on my girls and still isnt getting hard then he should consult a doctor. I'm sure nothing is seriously wrong with him. He may just like guys instead of girls

If he has normal erections during sleep or in the morning, he should see a psychiatrist/psychologist or really try to figure out what he likes or what types of mental block he might be having, since its not a mechanical problem.
If he never gets erections, then he should see a doctor and get a couple of tests done. Testosterone/LH/FSH levels, and Fasting Glucose levels/Hemoglobin A1C are a few tests to consider.
