Is the game show 'Wheel of Fortune' a testament to what is wrong with this world?

I mean come on, we all know there are three "O's" left in the puzzle, but these people feel compelled to buy them anyway.

When I see, "S_mewhere _ver The Rainb_w", I don't feel compelled to spend more money, I'm looking for the pot of gold. Please tell me the producers strongly encourage this behavior so the home viewers who may have problems figuring out the puzzles can feel like they win too... Otherwise I suspect these contestants enjoy the possibility of helping the other contestants win or spend hours flushing money down their toilets at home....

Update:

Yes, I do have too much free time on my hands....

Update 2:

Of course this is meant to have some humor to it, and for crying out loud, please learn to spell !!!!!!

Update 3:

Light headed - great answer! Made me laugh out loud!

Update 4:

Stephen K - Those incorrect guesses are probably the only thing worth watching on that show, lol!

No a shot at love with tila tequila is a testament to what is wrong with this world.

Yes, but only in the sense that we celebrate mediocrity. And imagine, the contestants on the show are the select few that qualify out of those that try out. Our society is very good at making excuses for lack of knowledge. Like the flashing 12:00. And since "nobody" knows how to set a clock, the smart people invented clocks that set themselves.

nope wheel of fortune is classic, "deal or no deal" is a testament of whats wrong with this world. the banker offers you $150,000 to stop playing asnd take the cash but you won't give it up because you might win 1mil from the remaining 10 cases, when actually your case has $10. meanwehile the blood pressure of american couch potatoes rises as you slam the little box down and say "no deal"

Source(s): yes I'm bored too, rarely watch that show but still;)
  • Maybe the contestants are anal-retentive and just like to fill in all the squares.

Partially, but you can't sell short when they completely misguess.

    "Shoe me the money!"

Please tell me your joking, lol. If your not, that statement was a testament to what's wrong in the world.
