Looking for fuel prices from different countries.Id say we are getting stung?.what do u say?.?

Britain is a complete joke for fuel. Every driver should take a stand and boycott the petrol (but we would be cutting of our noses to spite our faces - no transport to work etc).

America have it easy i went on holiday there and we hired a car (grand cherokee) quite a big car and a whole tank cost about £10-£15 for the fortnight.

People in the UK have been complaining about the government overtaxing fuel ever since they insisted they wanted lower income tax and NICS.

You can't have it both ways. The public consistently indicate they want MORE police, MORE nurses, MORE doctors, MORE teachers, MORE defence spending, more of EVERYTHING but when asked to pay for it, they want to pay nothing at all. These things don't appear by magic. You want an NHS and a welfare state you have to cough up, and since you don't want it taken from your pay packet, we take it at the petrol pump.

Well in the UK we get shafted for everything - I pay 40% tax on what I make - ON TOP OF THAT i have to charge 17.5% VAT on any labour I charge for (which is completely free money for the government beacause since it ne MY LABOUR generating that VAT theres nothing to claim back against it).

Then when I spend that money I'm charged another 17.5% VAT on any non food items, and also the margin that retailers have to include for tax...

Then if I die I'd have to give a large portion of any savings (that I've already been taxed on potentually several times) that I want to leave anyone to the government--- and what do I get in return, I get to see public services waste money, I get to see incompetents running inefficient departments and if I complain about it I get to be ignored!

Definately getting stung. Like everything that this government handles. But what are we going to do about it? most of us are too apathetic. I say we all come out on strike like the french do. They wouldn't put up with it

It's getting ridicules I do 200 miles for £30 worth of petrol,I only drive a 1.8 not a rocket,I've never seen it so expensive,I think its a £1 a litre in some places now,jokers

about time everyone stopped using so much fuel...l dont bother with a car, use public transport. Whilst not everyone can do this..they should consider forming 'car groups' to ensure more than one person in every 4 seater car.

Think its bad now..whooo hoo..wait another 10yrs..and in the meantime...just keep on wasting it!!!

Who's we? Based on the use of punctuation and grammar, I"m going to take a wild guess you're a product of the U.S.A. public school system, in which case we have the cheapest fuel in the industrialized world.

If you want to get it even cheaper, conserve.

Yes we are, the price of petrol in Egypt is only 2LE, its about 30 pence !

from personal experiance of going to 5 other countries, in these other countries there is only one type of gas for one price and I think there is realy no reason for us to have 3 different types of gas because there is petty much only on type and we are being charged way too much for gas!!!
