I normally wet shave , but I also have a Braun Foil head shaver . Having tried the rotary type I didn't find it shaved close enough and I usually had to shave again before going out at night .

However I believe the quality of all electrics have improved over the past few years so I suppose both would do a decent job

Whatever one you chose I would always recommend you also have a wet razor , and use it every now and again .

Rotary never managed to shave anything on me.

    I use Foil type razor.

They are both good but it all depends how your hair grow.

My husband is taking Plavix (a blood thinner) and the common practitioner informed him to not use well-known shavers. properly, at some point he used my Venus Divine alongside with my shave cream, and he pronounced it became the desirable shave he's ever had. he's been doing this for about 2 years and has not had one nick. He swears by ability of it!

The best shavers you can get are wet razors, the electric ones are over priced and don't perform any better.

    I've used both.

Rotary shave closer and smoother, but it's more difficult to trim sideboards, beards etc.

Always use a pre-electric shave lotion to prevent razor burns.
