A question for family men and women...?

After you spend a hard day at work, what do you do when you get home? You have a family at home, a spouse and a young child/children.

I am curious what the rest of the population does? I recall being a child and my parents would spend time with us and take care of just the necessities during the week (make dinner, clean the kitchen, pack lunches and prepare for the day ahead) and save the projects for the weekends. Does that still happen? I am 29, my husband is 42 and we have one 3 year old son and I feel like we aren't spending enough time living and enjoying our family with all the other things we concern ourselves with nowdays (like household projects). Shouldn't those projects be saved for the weekend? Shouldn't the TV be turned off so we can talk, play games and just enjoy each other? Are ADD and ADHD just disorders created by families who don't spend time just enjoying their children instead of always being busy with something and popping on the TV or video games to distract?

You are right on point, but in order to change things you start family nite, and families (all families should try it. Let the children be involved and help out and make them feel like they are apart of the whole scheme of things. Cook together (when she gets older) clean, do laundry etc.. Now your husband is 42 and from a different era, he must be trained to do these things so gradually start to include him in all phases of the house and the daughter, give him more responsibility. Good Luck!
