Catholics, Why do you eat blood of animals being slaughtered?

dude, i am an atheist, but my wife is a catholic. she doesn't eat blood. are you speaking about some ethnic cuisine? that doesn't have anything to do with religion. stop embarassing us atheists

Acts 10:9-16; Matthew 15:17

Peter has a vision regarding "unclean" (not Kosher) animals. It is a symbol of the Gentiles as well as a lifting of the food ban. Christians are not bound by Kosher laws.

Jesus also reiterates that the heart is what causes one to become unclean, not food.

The question doesn't really make sense. Are you asking why Christians don't keep to the kosher dietary laws? If so, it is because we are freed from those.

Acts 15:5-11

Well, my grand-ma use to make these blood sausages. Does it mean that even if she lived a very religious and pious life, going to Church 3 times a week, observed lent, had 13 children that she loved and raised, even if she believed in her heart that Jesus was her saviour God will close his eyes on her because she had blood sausages at Christmas?

If you're referring to communion wine...it's WINE. Fruit of the grape. Unless it's Sangria, of course. :)

The Law of God changed so mny times over!!!

Christianity changed the original 10 commandments!

Jesus replaced "Honor thy father and thy mother" for "Unless you hate* (*Greek miseo = to abhor) your father and your mother..."

“Thou shalt not have “other Gods before me” was amended to include God the Son Jesus Christ and God the Holy Ghost!

The Sabbath “for all generations” was switched to Sunday!

"Thou shalt not covet" was loop holed into "COVET the gifts..."

“Thou shalt not LIE” is ethicalized and the correct lie is rewarded throughout the Bible

and so on...
