2007 in review. Of mine, this is my favorite from last summer. Which one of yours are you most proud of?

*****

Water

Falling down around the edges

Pooled droplet domes

A crease in the sand

Trickling, flowing

Directionless meandering

Joins the enjoined, tributary

To stream, and river’s torrent

Engulfed, saline fusion

Sea to Ocean current

Challenger Deep

Evaporation

*****

Update:

Spitfire! That is precious!

beautiful and descriptive. You've done a great job of creatively capturing the characteristics of water. As for my poems, I do actually have a poem I am proud of and unfortunately it is too long to post in answers. Also, my poems don't even compare to yours, but if you are interested here is my favorite poem. Some people find it quite funny It's on my 360 page and it was inspired by my son who was 4 at the time. It's called Boogie (just scroll down a bit).

    THE ANCIENT PLAINTIVE SONG

The wind blows over the fields now

As it did so long ago

And through the grass on the silent mounds

    Its notes begin to blow

    A plaintive tune

    To which we bow

As we stand on these grounds

And think not yet of what we sow

    Beneath the meadow's brow.

    We've planted many fields.

And still the wind blows on.

    Knowing what we know not,

    Receiving what we've sown.

We stand and fall, but think not,

As wind blows on and on.

Blow to a flame our embers,

Warmth that now rests in earth,

    Sinews rejoin to members,

Give to the fallen birth,

Those of the wars long past

The silent rebound at the trumpet,

Graves break with life at last.

[Spitfire: I loved it!!! You've got some cuties, They're keepers.]

Source(s): I kind of liked this one, reposted it for comment. You guys have helped rekindle a flame too long gone cold.

This, is a very vivid and beautiful poem. It's well written, and the imagery is just exceptional in this piece. Plus, I loved that this poem( at least in my interpretation) expresses a person who finds their path in life.

And my favorite poem, " I prefer Life Unclothed" is a poem I wrote a couple months ago. Now, based on the title, it's not what you think- it expresses that I want to see life with all of its flaws, so I don't remain in ignorance about life.

Yes I liked that one to.

    The endless cycle,

    Till the sun goes out.

Put the mind in perspective to relate to time.

    Erosion,

    Corrosion,

    Sedimentation,

    Consolidation.

    Deformation.
