What do you think about the British teacher convicted of blasphemy for naming a teddy bear "Muhammad"

Update:

I just read that mobs of people are calling for her execution, there is something terrably wrong. She did nothing to warrant such a responce.

I think its a great warning to anyone else who might think that good can come out of trying to help savages.

    "Think about it. They're here!"

Scarry, eh? And if you listen closely you can hear a few of them speak of the day when sharia law rules the West.

Seems like they're hellbent on driving out all forms of outside help, including a harmless British teacher trying to educate their children. That tells me that they'd rather have their children uneducated and easier to manipulate by way of despotic religious dogma than have them be productive, sensible citizens of a productive, successful country in a world of civilized countries.

    Can you say "bass-ackwards?"

I think the Sudanese government is playing politics and this poor woman has been caught in the middle. This has little to do with blasphemy and more to do with Sudan making a point.

Anyone who travels to that part of the world and teaches children is basically asking for exactly this sort of situation; they are ALL zealots and extremists so this reaction is not that surprising. Fortunately, one part of her punishment is being deported; she should grab that chance and run!

  • I think its funny that she was "deported" from a lower third world country to the second-most advanced country in the world.

I think they meant to say "released"!

I think she was a fool to be there in the first place, but now she's going to make a fortune on the talk show circuit.

My husband and I are Muslim and we could not believe what they did to her. I mean I see where she was coming from just trying to make the kids happy (BIG DEAL). They were kids and was she Muslim anyway? Even is she was omg how can they do that? They just made Muslims look even worse to uneducated people. THANKS

being deported can not happen soon enough!!! they can teach their own stupid kids!!!

no matter how educated a teacher or whoever goes over there....you could hear someone sneeze and politely ( without thinking) say "God Bless You" and be in prison and whipped!!!

this sort of behavior simply reinforces that they are a violent religion....no matter how many times they claim peaceful...

It's another example of the loving and peaceful Islam.
