Typical behavior for 3?

Our almost 4 year old son but was about 3 years old when it started knows the way to get anywhere he has been more than once. It's to a point where he tells everyone where to turn and when they have turned the wrong way and he even knows the different ways my husband and I turn to get home to our house in our neighborhood. Does your 3 year old do that?

My daughter will be 4 in February. Boy does she do that. She knows the way that we usually go, and if we make a detour, she will be like, THIS IS NOT THE WAY HOME, or this is not the way we go. Or if Daddy is driving, this is not the way that mommy goes or vice/versa. So, yes, My 3 year old does do that. They are smart and ever.

Most three or four year olds probably do this. They're starting to realize they can connect and remember, which is a good milestone. I think that might be extra good for three because i think my daughter started doing it around four years old. Maybe a parenting website might help with milestones and ages with certain developments.

It's certainly unusual, but I wouldn't discourage him! Sounds to me like he might enjoy learning to read, and other useful stuff. Enjoy! He's obviously bright!
