What are those things that alert you when police are near?

its a radar detector but some police dont use raider -they use laser now (a friend got a speeding ticket that way) the officer told

my friend that he clocked her using a laser over the speed limit

also other police dept dont use radar -they pace your car

so even if you had a radar detector it wouldn't work if the police

paced your car

better suggestion to aviod tickets and it works wonders

dont speed in the first place!

I agree with mikepipe. They are also called radar detectors. Besides some locations. they are also illegal in any commercial vehicle. You can save yourself some money by driving near speed limit & using your senses. If you check your mirrors every 30secs-1min or so & keep radio volume at a resonable level, you will know if an emergency vehicle is coming. Good luck!!

My buddy has one of those its called a radar detector. He has a cobra 10 band radar detector its saved him from a lot of speeding tickets. You can get them at almost any store that sells electronics, I know meijer, best buy, ebay, maybe circuit city. Good Luck and watch around the real big and long walls they will hide and wait for you to come blasting by and pull your *** over.

it detects all emergency vehicles such as cops, fire trucks, emt...etc.

you can buy them on ebay or even some radio shacks have them.

BUT they are illegal in some cities/states.

some are better than others so do your research before buying one.
