Why is everyone so scared of Ron Paul? People keep smearing him and avoid debating the issues.?
The mainstream media would rather focus on a Nevada brothel that endorses him, or the credit card fraud of a couple hundred dollars that smear artist probably did.
Why don't people acknowledge the REAL issues, like why does a "capitalist" country like the USA have a Marxist income tax?
Or why we tolerate a fraudulent monetary system that is destroying our dollar and robbing our citizens with inflation?
Or why should we have to pay to blow up bridges in other countries in undeclared wars, then pay to build new ones, while our bridges are crumbling here?
Why should we defend Iraq's border, when our borders are being overrun will illegal immigrants?
Can Ron Paul detractors answer questions like these RATIONALLY? Or maybe they can't so they resort to calling names and attacking people's characters.
If Ron has no chance, why has he collected more money than the rest? Why did McCain have to smear him with his Hitler remark in the debate? Superficial people are only concerned about who is the most "popular", the lemming mentality, run with the crowd, go with the leader in the polls, even though the crowd is wrong.

New Virginia straw poll (real people who showed up to vote in person) from last 2 days......
Ron Paul 38%
Fred Thompson 23%
Mike Huckabee 11%
Giuliani 9%
Let the haters hate. Truth does not need a political shield to defend it from anything. The people can see what is happening in their lives....They can also listen to all the candidates on the issues. In the end, Ron Paul represents rational politics, not partisan hackery.
RON PAUL '08 ALL THE WAY

The MEDIA usually create the winners, and they have not chosen Ron Paul. So when the people start supporting someone the media does not support, the media go all out to ignore the "upstart" hoping he or she will just go away.
The media do everything they can to play down the effect the "upstart" person is having, but that isnt happening this time. Why? Because of the internet and bloggers. Reports can be relayed anywhere instantly, so everyone know what is happening.
I dont think Ron Paul will just go away this time. He is not new to politics. He's been a congressman for at least 20 years (if not more) so he has plenty of experience in politics, which is why he is always sure of himself and his policies and never uncertain no matter what questions gets thrown at him.
I have never yet seen him with a "deer in the headlights" look like we often get from George when he gets a question that is "not in the script".
The MAJOR reason people are flocking to him, is because he wants to get the military OUT of Iraq, and out of the Middle East. That's why he is getting noticed.
Yes he has other policies that you don't like, but who cares. Its more important that America get out of the mess they have dug for themselves in Iraq, and will probably dig again in Iran (if they so stupid enough to actually attack).
I think Ron Paul is doing a wonderful job.

Debate time is effective and needs to circulate to those applicants who've a brilliant gamble of winning the nomination. The "little guy" gets cut back off because of the fact he we could human beings do it. what form of president could he be if he had to barter with a distant places head of state and enable the guy walk throughout him like all different applicants are doing? human beings can see that he's vulnerable, that's why he's in no way been a probable candidate. perhaps the only reason he's even in the debate is because of the fact all and sundry realises he could in no way be on television lower back and that they sense sorry for him. people who proceed to assist him don't have a reasonable outlook.

As a Ron Paul supporter I have met many Liberals with well argued opinions on why Ron Paul is wrong. I disagree with them but not everyone is a mudslinger.
However, those who say he's a kook, or crazy... they are the smear artists.

They don't discuss the issues because Ron Paul doesn't have anything to say about them. What are you going to do when you get rid of the Fed? How will our financial system work? Do you have a single clue what the Fed actually does?
What is the new structure of our financial system going to be?

a nevada brothel endorsed him? I havent seen this anywhere in the media.
My problem with the man is he has no concept of economics. And his "constitutionalism" is a very extreme interpretation of the document. The man has voted against the second amendment a few times and while claiming to support smaller government said that he wanted to get us out of Iraq and our "foreign entanglements" so we can take care of health care at home. In fact, he has repeatedly stated we need to get out of foreign entanglements to use the government money to solve social problems at home. This makes me sincerely doubt his loyalties to limited government.
The fact is Ron Paul supporters dont listen to our rational arguments. They have this conspiracy dreamed up where the media is trying to keep Ron Paul from being taken serious. In reality it's Ron Paul who refuses to go on media programs. Its Ron Paul who is rude to those in the media he could possibly persuade. Of course they arent going to support him if he refuses to come on the shows when asked and treats them rudely. but then if he went on the shows his followers wouldnt be able to complain that he is being unfairly kept from the public.
If point out the fact that Ron Pauls economic and foreign policies would cripple this nation, that his constitutionalism is more in word than in record, and his followers are overzealot conspiracy therorists is smearing then sorry, but I'm not going to sugar coat the facts because you don't like the fact that your candidate looks bad.

I don't think anyone is scared of Ron Paul, but if you want to call it that to feel better, then go ahead. Most just don't agree with his fantasy land politics. Thats all.
