Vassar College?

You are really lucky to be accepted! Vassar college is an hour away from the city. The dorm life is really great because it is homey. The campus is BEAUTIFUL, go check out images on google. Educational wise, its a very top of the notch.

I suggest you do a lot of research and you'll grow to love this college.

Vassar is considered a really good school. For example, US News & World Report ranks it in the top 15 or so of liberal arts colleges, and in my opinion, it's in the top 50ish of colleges/universities in the US. In general, it's well respected.

Students tend to be quite liberal. It has a strong residential campus, which means that there's a lot to do there, and students tend to stick around on weekends - I like that kind of environment, myself. I find it leads to a real collegy feel.

There is no core curriculum, so you get to take a lot of different types of classes, without worrying too much about fulfilling general education requirements. Drama and the arts are very strong departments, but it's a strong school, overall. If you're into theater, it's a great school - a lot of interesting work being done on campus.

If you are in any way nearby, or can get there somehow, do a campus visit. See what you think of the place, personally, and if it's a good fit for you.

Yes, it is a good school. Very liberal artsy. Profs are great, classes are pretty small. Go on their website to see pictures of the campus and dorms.
