You can email them, tell them to permanantly delete your account. They deleted mine in this way.

Facebook has had big problems with issues like this. I have read that they retain information, use information, and have no respect for privacy of individuals signed up with them. I don't know if this is true, but I would be very careful.
Definitely write them and request that they remove anything pertaining to you. I would advise using Snail Mail and registering the letter.

Facebook is creepy, it's like everyone and their uncle is on there, you're best off without it. I'm sure they won't pass on your information, data protection and all that
