hmm... so you already submitted all demographical information, affidavit of support and fees, right? from what i remembered, after the $380, you wait till you get a notification from the NVC that her papers are being transfered to the local consulate. then you wait some more till the consulate contacts you for an appointment date and to inform you to go to a specific doctor for medical exam.
while she's waiting i suggest that she would gather all the necessary papers for your interview. i hope you made a copy of all the forms you submitted because they might lose some of it. i remember there was a family next to us at the embassy who had problems. the embassy lost one important paper for one of the kids and they had to either get a copy of that form that they've submitted... or they have to redo the application for that kid. tough, i know but papers do get lost.
make sure she has your marriage certificate and proof of marriage like bank statements, pics and all that kind of stuff. remember to be certain well ahead of time that her passport is current and will not be expiring soon. i prepared all necessary documents i'll be bringing with me to the consulate once i found out that my papers were being transfered.
when i received word about my interview date and my medical exam, i immediately called to get an appointment for that specific doctor.
after you do all that, there's nothing more to do except wait for the interview. you already have everything ready and prepared.
the only major thing that she needs to do prior to the interview really is to gather the evidence of your marriage and the medical checkup. she can't get the medical checkup well ahead of time since she needs to have the appointment letter for the consular interview presented to the doctor before she can get an appointment with him/her. plus, it only has to be one of the doctors listed on the interview packet that can do her medical exam for the US visa.

once nvc completes your case, then it should be transferred over to the embassy there in china. She will then be sent , i think packet 3 for her medical and police reports to be done. then after that, she waits on her packet 4 for her interview. Wishing you the best of luck!!!

you have to show how you are able to support her also. you need an affidavit of support. other than that you just have to wait on the ins or should i say homeland security dept.
