romantic Restaurants in san diego, 30-50 per person, south of la jolla?
My wife and i want to have a romantic dinner. Someplace nice, but not crazy expensive.
We both like Mexican food and italian, but would be open to traditional american cuisine.
She's not into Seafood or French, while i hate sushi.
We're looking for a place south or La Jolla, and closer to the coast.
Any ideas?
Preferably indoors as its supposed to rain tommorow.

The best place I can think of happens to fits all of your criteria! Island Prime, on harbor island, overlooking the Bay. Chef Debra Scott owns/runs the place. You can get wonderful, thick juicy steaks, which is their specialty, nice big salads, some seafood. The appetizers are the best, as are the deserts. The last time I went with a large group it was $60 a piece, but several people were pretty heavy drinkers. The entrees run 20 to 35 dollars. I usually skip the entry and get a couple of appetizers and sides, like the mushrooms or asparagus.

I can so much recommend the Trattoria Acqua, located in Prospect Street, La Jolla. It´s a beautiful italian restaurant- I think it even has its own website, so you can check the prices out. But as far as I remeber, it wasn´t too bad. Quite reasonable actually and the food was just awesome!! Hope I could help :) Enjoy :)!!!

Jack & Guilios Italian Restaurant in Old Town. The best food and fair pricing. Try the Tortalini Verde as an appitizer.

anyplace in previous city San Diego is a superb wager. The Butcher save in Chula Vista is yet another good place as is Mona Lisa in Little Italy (corner of Hawthorn & India) in Downtown San Diego. satisfied Dinning.
