Hey, what a great idea. Then when he mispronounces that he might actually pronounce it correctly. You should see Letterman's "Great Presidential Speeches" for a belly laugh. He does one almost nightly.

CARTER WAS A NUCULAR OFFICER IN THE NAVY!!!!
Some people are more up to speed than others when it comes to knowing how "foolish" Dems have looked.
And that is how he said it:
"Not only did Jimmy Carter pronounce it "nucular" -- I recently saw a tape of then-President Carter, in which he spoke the word -- he served on temporary duty with the Atomic Energy Commission, Division of Reactor Development and Naval Reactors Branch. He also assisted in developing the ("nucular") power plant for U.S.S. Seawolf, and was in training to become the engineering officer aboard Seawolf when he left the Navy."

Source(s): My pet US pronunciation hate is is "boo-ee" for buoy. - jeeper_peeper321Lv 71 decade ago
Yea, and we should change the spelling of " car " to ' caa " so we won't make the yankees feel stupid for pronouncing the word wrong.
Got any other bright ideas ???
EDIT: I see one of the yankees who say " caa " instead of the correct " car " is awke this time of night.
Thanks for the negative vote.

No. I can pronounce it properly, so why can't he? The other way doesn't sound phonetically right. Bush isn't the only political leader in the world, so why should speech patterns evolve around him?

No, Bush has obvious difficulties saying lots of words, we don't need to re-write the dictionary--he'll be out of office soon enough!

Absolutely NOTHING should be done to accommodate Bush in any way. He's the biggest liar in nine counties.

Just because yanks cant spell or speak correctly doesnt mean we should cater to them.
