Do you fast?
In the Bible fasting is a way to get closer to God and to receive extra help from God in conjunction with prayer. Do you regularly fast? Do you think that God instructs us to fast, since it has other health benefits too?

Interesting article...
I liked QuietBuck's answer (and gave you a thumbs up to balance)
I try to fast, but I don't always do it as I should- with a prayer or question in my heart.... without that, it's just skipping meals.

Yes, beacuse when you fast you show the Lord that you are willing to sacrifice to follow him. Of course, you need to actually follow him as well, and keep his commandments. As for physical health, I dont know what it does. I know one day without food might help with obesity, laugh*
Yes, fasting is a very good thing, and if someone doesn't recognize that, they either have not tried it or do not believe in a purpose for it.

I have never fasted or anything close. But years ago when I received my Native Indian name the guide told me...
" Go and seek the answers you are about to ask, for it is written for you to do so. Look far and wide but walk slowly, for home is beneath your feet at the time of your answers. "
At the time I was like... do what?!? But this past year, I spent about 8 months fasting, living off the basics of 1 little debbie snack cake per day the entire time. And during those months... every answer I asked was answered for me. And I asked questions that I did not know were in me to even ask. It was a very "enlightening" and eye opening experience. Hope to do it again soon. Didn't plan it... it just started on its own.. that was the weird thing.

I tend to fast during Lent. It's such a cleansing act, especially when you do it to honor God. I don't do it regularly, although I feel like I should.

I would definetly fast if I could. Going even half a day without eating makes me sick, makes me very very dizzy and makes me feel faint. If I do not eat my finger tips get numb and different things happen...... So no, I do not fast.
