Which groups know the most about religion (their own and others)?

Islam, Judaism, Christianity: Catholics, Protestants, Evangelicals. Or do atheists know more about religion?

Who knows the least?

I am looking at buying one, but this is one of the big pricing questions I have. If it uses a belt, how much should I expect to pay to have it replaced?

I recently asked a question and included a quote from a response that Renee gave to another one of my questions. This latest question upset many people who answered, which was not my intention. I have deleted it, and I would now like to apologize to anyone who may have been offended, and especially to Renee for using her quote in conjunction with the question. I have since discovered that I misunderstood and perhaps implied some malice to her statement. She politely corrected my error, and to her I am thankful.

To all those who do not believe in protecting the life of unborn children:

The number one reason I hear for why we should not give unborn children the right to life is that a high percentage of women have miscarriages early in pregnancy, so we cannot guarantee that the child will be born.

To this I ask, how many of you actually actively speak against the government, carry firearms on you, are ever asked to testify in court against yourself and plead the 5th, will ever stand trial and exercise your right to a jury, and will be punished by cruel and unusual punishment?

The facts are that most of us will never be put in a situation where we will need to exercise these rights; nonetheless, I doubt any of you are willing to give up your right to due process or the right freedom to practice your religion or any of the other rights guaranteed to you by the constitution.

When someone says that they have received an answer to their prayers from God, do you really doubt that it happened?

I just read a question where one of the responders mentioned that they had prayed about their beliefs and received an answer. The person who asked the question then responded by saying, "yah right it worked for you. More like your parents told you to believe in it."

Is that what your response would be?

I was at a dinner tonight with my grandpa who used to work with a lot of the general authorities. It was amazing. I sat at the same table and Elder Wirthlin and Bishop Mcmullin and sat right next to President Hinckley who was at a different table. Anyways, after being there tonight and hearing him speak, there is no doubt in my mind that he is a prophet of God.

Has anyone else ever met him? What did you think?

In the Bible fasting is a way to get closer to God and to receive extra help from God in conjunction with prayer. Do you regularly fast? Do you think that God instructs us to fast, since it has other health benefits too?

I hear a lot of bashing against illegal immigrants on here. I want to know what they have done to you to make you them so much. Although I agree that we need to protect our borders and that our laws need to be followed, I am not asking to discuss policy. I just want to find the root of your opinion.

Did anyone watch this game? If so, do you bleed red or blue? Finally, On BYU's last drive were the two penalties legit? I was listening on the radio and the announcers on each station had their own opinions.

Have you heard of anyone getting the day they leave on their mission moved up? I wasn't supposed to leave until March, but I talked to my bishop to see if we could get it moved up, and I found out today that I can likely do move it up about 6 weeks. Another person from my ward did the same thing last year. Is this common?

My mom's cousin has been trying to email her for a few weeks. They have double checked the email address several times and still nothing. It doesn't even show up as spam, and they are not getting a "delivery failure" email. Anyone know why this would be or have a solution?

I would like to know what everyone thinks we have to do to attain salvation with God.

The big bang theory is that the universe was spontaneously brought into action by some unexplained event.

Religion argues that God created the universe by an unnamed method. (Not necessarily in 168 hours, but just that he designed it, and caused to be created).

What is the difference in logic between believing the first theory and the second belief? Both believe that the universe was spontaneously formed. Are they mutually exclusive?

When thinking about choice and cognition from the evolutionary perspective, I am led to one of two conclusions, and I wonder what you think about them. Supposing that cognition is evolved, it seems that there must be no real thing as choice or that there is some thing or some power that can supersede the physical and chemical reactions that drive our bodies.

We clearly perceive that we think, but in the first possibility we really are just governed by chemical reactions and have no choice. We ate the cereal this morning and wore the blue suit, because that is the result of millions of complex chemical reactions. We follow the latest fashion trends, because we are somehow chemically driven to do so. Since we do perceive that we think, cognition must simply be a big processing unit of all these reactions and in the gathering of sound, light and pressure, the experience of cognition is created, although it really has no control over any of the elements.

There are a lot of questions seeking for proof of something. It makes me wonder what people consider proof. Is it knowing, feeling and seeing things yourself? or do some people seek the approval and consensus of others as proof?

i.e. his characteristics, his nature, his plan...
