If you had an extra $50 would you rather help a mother on welfare or an A student trying to pay for his books?
I should have added that a decision is required. No half-way measures.... no "rather thans." I am really interested in which one you would choose: the mom or the student. Thanks!

The student! He deserves the $50 for being so smart and wanting to do something about his future, versus the "mother" who should have made sure she had money in the first place, before having a kid. They're costly you know.

Definatley the mother. As a mother I understand how hard things can be with children and being on Welfare.
As for the student he can sale blood 25.00 a pint , plasma 30.00 a unit. Collect can's 65 cents a pound, throw newspapers.. ect..ect... The mother can do these things as well but I would much rather see a helpless child have a meal and clean clothes...

I would use the money to help my mother .I understand the extent of sacrifices she has made to rear me up since my birth. I am so much indebted to her that I cannot repay her if I had all the gold kept in Fort Knox.My first and top priority will be my mother.
Many other persons, with charity in heart ,will agree to help the needy student. But none of them will know about my mother or come to help her.

Id give it to the mother, the student may have difficulty struggling with books, but there is nothing worse than a child that needs things and cant get them.

The mother...the welfare part doesn't sound nice in the same sense I try not to judge and don't know why she would be on it but if she is I know it has got to be hard for her. Besides what about the kid(s).

well if u help the mother u are helping more than one person, and they need it there and then. the student can pay the books off nit by bit cuz u can get them on credit...
so i would help the mother
