Are Democrats proud of Al Sharpton, one of their former Presidential candidates?
NEW YORK - The Rev. Al Sharpton angrily denounced federal authorities Thursday for investigating him and his civil rights organization, suggesting that the Justice Department was retaliating against him for his civil rights advocacy
The FBI and the IRS are investigating Sharpton for tax fraud and possible campaign finance violations stemming from his 2004 presidential bid, according to a person familiar with the investigation. They also are investigating the National Action Network and several businesses he runs.

To answer your question honestly, of course democrats are proud of Al Sharpton, he is carrying their flag and doing their dirty work. The last thing democrats want is an end to racism; if they did care about ending it, they would follow Dr King's message (which is God's message)- forgive, bring people together, unite the races, denounce race baiters and opportunists who exploit racial conflict.
If you ask a lib if they support the Sharpton or Jackson reverse racist, they will deny it; they will point their finger at the liberal media and say it's the media's choice; however,
if you support a black leader who does not support socialism, they will call that person every racist name in the book- uncle tom, house "n", etc. Liberals don't believe black people should be allowed to have a wide range of different viewpoints.....
Look what happened to Bill Cosby when he renounced race baiting and told his fellow black citizens to stop "getting even" and be accountable for your actions- too many single parent families, too many black kids who don't get to go to college, etc..... the liberals dug up dirt on Cosby to silence him and send a message to every other black leader who opposes race baiting- you will be destroyed.

While there are some incidents of cruelty beyond the call of duty in this Iraq War, it is nothing like it was in Viet Nam. The Iraq War has not as yet lasted ten years, killed 50 to 60,000 American troops and at least a million Vietnamese. There was a great wave of anger among the young people opposing the Viet Nam War and the opinions of the older people slowly changed to agree with them. John Kerry was heroic to speak out against the atrocities of the Viet Nam War. We have had incidents of the same kind of bravery recently, with the young soldier who rebelled at participating in the torture at Abu Ghraib, as one example. It takes bravery to speak up against a government policy, but then...as now...we were subjected to lies and misinformation. John Kerry volunteered two times for that war and fought it well. Then, when he returned home, he had the courage to defy the leaders and help bring the war to an end. Kerry spoke his opinion when he ran for president. Recently, he has not given his opinion publicly, leaving the speeches to the candidates. But, believe me, he is not in favor of this war and his vote will go along with his fellow Democrats. Somehow, you seem to think that Al Queda and the Taliban kill babies, but our bombs do not. Think again!

Its about time he is investigated.
Back when Reggie White was playing for the Packers, the Packer fans raised $250,000 for rebuilding the churches that where arsoned in the south. To date, I dont believe those churches have been rebuilt, so AL and his Rainbow Push boys have some explaining to do.

Of course not. The Democrats are not proud of Sharpton. Who would be "proud" of anyone facing indictment for tax fraud?
Al Sharpton is and was too far leftwing and racist to be taken seriously as a candidate for president. But, he's part of the dialogue that helps define the party on some issues. Usually he comes down on the wrong side of most issues, but (like my mother used to say) he makes you think about what you believe: is that so bad?

Typically these Democrat icons squeal like stuck pigs when they're caught with their hands in the proverbial cookie jar insisting there is a grand right wing conspiracy to denigrate them due to their so called advocacy on behalf of the "little guy". They could give a fat rats a*s for the "little guy"! They care for themselves and themselves only. He is another typical liberal crap stirrer...

I love the leftist Liberal answers here. When one of the America bashers gets caught what do they do? They start name calling and bringing up names from history that have absolutely zero relevance.

To answer your question;
I believe that they are, Al Sharpton has had a very good life thanks to the fact he marched with the Rev. MLK. To my knowledge he has never held a job, and plays the race card every-time someone questions his authority.

When has illegality ever dishonored a democrat presidential candidate - in their eyes?

I can't wait for Rev. Al to go to the big house. He is a worthless human being. If Al killed a man tonight, on live TV, he would immediately blame whitey for oppressing him for all these years and that's why he became violent.

Of course he pulled the racist card. Boy, what a surprise *rolls eyes*
