Conibears, Dye them or Paint them?
I'm looking to prep some 330 conibear traps. Anybody know the pros and cons of dying vs painting them? And if you do dye them, what do you boil them in? Or do you use speed dip?

I use Logwood dye. Depending on the number of conibears, drop in the correct amount into a big container of boiling water, stir to dissolve, then ease the traps in for about an hour. Turns the traps black.

I am with the wood dye, it is best to use a more natural compound to reduce the scent. I use 330's for beaver. Prefer to not add paint to the mix, and reduce the amount of scent cover I have to use.
