When she said she wanted to be with somebody smart what she really meant was she didn't want to be with You. She was trying to avoide saying it straight out. if you go trying to change yourself for some chick you'll only come across as desperate and pathetic. She'll never go for it. In a couple of months you'll probably see her with some unemployed skate boarder. Look for a chick a little less stuck on herself.

Alot of times girls say what they want but never really mean it.

I say I want a cute guy thats smart. I really mean I want a guy with tats and a lipring.

Just be yourself.

First learn to spell intellectual. Then read some books.

I don't think you have to just act smart. Just talk about something she's interested in, like hobbies or something.

Do you have any classes with her? If so how about studying with her or maybe doing homework together.....

you should know her background and everything about her to find her what you will be aproaching with... it is very effective if you know her then be yourself act naturally...

talk about goals, the future, and things like that.
