Do whites really take pride that it's only been them in the White House?

Would you entertain anyone of color there? Who?

No I take no pride in whatever the race of the pesident is.......... To me it is totally illogical to look at someone of my own race and feel I need to pull for him....Stalin was white, Hitler was white, etc, tec, etc........people are people

Is there a reason you ask the question the way you do? It sounds like someone told you that whites take pride in that, and you're looking for confirmation.

The answer is some people take pride in that, but not everyone. You already knew that, though. You're trying to drum up attention by putting it that way.

As for who I'd support, show me a black politician (besides Obama, Keyes, Rice, or Powell) who's qualified to be president. (And by the way, I don't think Obama is qualified.) But show me one who's qualified and wants the job, and I'll consider him or her the same way that I consider every other candidate.

In this election, people have talked about how it's unfair that the Republican candidates are all white males while the Democrats have a Latino, a black, and a woman. To this I say, "Well, maybe if more black Republicans decided to get into politics and run for president ...,"

Color doesn't matter to be! I don't see why anyone would be proud because only whites have been in the White House! That's like asking if men are proud because only men have held that position! Unfortunately, at this point in the race there aren't many candidates I would like to vote for!

No, about the white house. Why do black peopke always have to bring up questions like that. If they are not involved in a certain thing. or anyone in thier color is involved in a certain thing? if a froup of hostages was held inside a building and not a single black person was in thier, the race would say that the criminals were rasist. It is just a matter of circumstance that a black has never been president. Oh I misread you question sorry! yes a black person had been in the wqhite house, the foriegn ambasador of South africa

I don't take any pride in that fact at all. I would encourage and support any other demographic of person to enter the presidential race. I'll vote for the person who best matches my beliefs and concerns. It that happens to be someone other than our white male presidents of the past, then great!

It's not something I take pride in. Great people come in all shapes and colors. I'd like to see some non-whites become president of the US. When I think "who?", I can think of too many to name here. Heck, after Dubya, I'd be happy to see Jay Z as president.

I will vote for the person who appears to be the best candidate for this position, regardless of race, sex, or religion. I actually believe that the best candidate in the upcomming election is Mr. Obama. I believe our country is ready for this type of change.

Actually I am proud of this Nation in general. I have no shame over the 'evils' of the past. And that goes for the fact that only Whites have been President.

And no I would not support any other Race being my President. At least I am honest, and don't hide behind PC BS.

I am three races and take offense at what you are saying. Anyone that I am voting for to become the President is someone who supports the policies that are important to me. I would vote for Condoleeza QUICKLY. Not this moron Obama.

No, I don't see it as a point of pride and I would readily vote for Condi Rice if she ran.
