Is there a disorder that would explain feeling emotions without or even in spite of the typical associated physical indicators?
For example, anger is typically accompanied by increased heart rate, adrenaline, etc. Happiness and sadness often have conflicting physical indicators. What would it mean if a person felt these emotions but had none of the associated physical responses, or even in spite of the typical responses?

2 AnswersOptical7 years agoCan radiation be converted to energy?
One of the hazards of space travel is the massive amounts of radiation in space, and energy for spaceflight is always a concern. Is it possible, at least theoretically, to construct a ship that would absorb that radiation and convert it to energy, solving two problems at once?

It can be a character from a movie or a play or TV show or a book that reminds you of comics, as long as they've never been in a comic book or a comic book movie.

Assuming he's of average height, build, and health when he begins, that he has access to a variety of alcoholic beverages, drinks himself to sleep every night, drinks when he gets up in the morning, doesn't die of secondary causes like getting run over because he was too drunk to see the car coming, is at least cognitive enough during the day to prepare food for himself and has access to food whether he prepares it or not, and isn't actually trying to give himself alcohol poisoning, how long can he carry on this way before the drinking kills him?

2 AnswersBeer, Wine & Spirits7 years agoIf you use Kickstarter to fund a political campaign...?
...would contribution limits apply?
Say your Kickstarter project is to start a run for political office, for example, governor. You set your target as $1 million before you will officially run for office. Would the people who contribute to your Kickstarter campaign be required to abide by political contribution caps if your political campaign hasn't technically begun? Are you even allowed to fund a campaign that way?

3 AnswersZoology8 years agoWhat does one cold hand signify?
I tried WebMD, but "cold hand" just returns frost bite and the brilliant advice to try keeping it warm. But I'll be in a warm room, rubbing it, breathing on it, whatever, and my arm above my wrist will be fine while below my wrist it's like I've been hanging it out the window. It's not all the time, and it's the only symptom that I've noticed, but it seems to be chronic. Some times, it's both hands, but often it's just the right hand.
