is mobil tell dependable.?

i'm looking into having a auto start put on my 2002 liberty. i know i do not want best buy or circuit city touching my vehical, and i do trust the local tweeter center. However, for the same model and everything the local mobiletell is 200 cheaper for the modle i want... thats alot to swallow for the reliability of Tweeter IF and thats a big IF mobile tell is reliable...

anyone have any experiences with them...

Update:

they are primarily in the chicago area i believe, and they sell and install alpine, Jl and a few other great brands, typically only decent shops do that... right?

Update 2:

well i have delt with tweeter for several years (1992 was first system?) and they do fantastic work... there are multiple location in multiple states, but as stated before mobile tell is 200 cheaper than tweeter for the exact setup .. its a viper with 1 mile range and lcd with confeirmation...

Tweeter = $650

Mobile Tel = $450

but i would hapily pay the extra if mobile tel has any chance of causing me headaches.

Update 3:

here is the system i want to install

http://www.viper.com/Products/Product.aspx?Product...

Update 4:

metalman - thanks man i will look into them....

    We carry

    viper

    compustar

    code alarm

and i will put them in that order the viper is one of our best systems and better warranty

we charge $500.00 to $600.00 for that system your vehicle also needs a module for the key bypass system

we do the Chrysler vehicles for about $550.00

use your home phone or land line and call this number

1-800-274-0200 this is going to take you the the closes authorize viper dealer in your area and ask for a price

later go look at their store and see how clean it is and talk to the person that is going to work in your vehicle

if you call from a cellphone it will be forward to the dealer that buys more product from the company not always the best shop but you can also try that way

    good luck

Sorry to say but I do trust Circuit City with my car NOT Best BUY. I know that people have there own choices but If you can get the work done for cheaper I would got with the cheaper price but then you have to consider all the things after the install. Like for example, does the tweetere shop garanttee their work? If so how long is it? And do they have more than one location incase something happens to that shop? Are they well known where you live? Have you had any work done there before? I think that these are all inportant questions to ask yourself before you decide to get it installed. I have a remote starter on my car and I let CC do it and it works great AND its a lifetime garanttee on their install and parts. AND if anything goes wrong with it and I'm out of town I can just stop by any CC and they will check it out for free. In my opinion these are all important to me b/c I know I can feel secure whenever I'm in my car and driving any where in the US. B/c there is a CC in almost every state. Well Choose wisely and good luck

Hey rick I'd be cautious there has to be a reason it is so cheap! 20-30 is a usual difference between shops even 50 bucks for a smaller shop but 200 it outrageous for a difference in price...I'd be cautious why that other shops wants less. Some shops give you a lifetime warranty with remote starters and stuff so I'd look into that. If you plan on keeping your jeep I'd spend the extra. Try asking tweet why they want so much more and see what they say. See if they'll work with you, let them know you'd rather have them do it but not if its going to cost 200 more...Remote starters are horrible for longevity and are very prone to problems. I personally like the directed stuff (viper) and have personally had 2 different sets but with everything electrical you get problems...keep a warranty in mind because they cause problems. I had to disable my father in laws ram van which had the alarm/remote starter and it kept either going off and he couldn't get the alarm to shut off or for no apparent reason it would run the battery dead...

Rick, i know you've probably done your research, but i have the viper 791xv. i wish i would have went with compustar. you really might want to look into them before you buy the DEI. more features, and better prices. just a suggestion.

as far as knowing somewhere to go in chicago. . . i have no idea.

    good luck
