Can all Christians agree that Mormons are sincere in their faith in Jesus Christ?

They are sincere, all right, but sadly sincerely mistaken. Many people have beliefs they are sincere about, but are mistaken. There are millions of people in that situation.

It's not the fault of the run-of-the-mill Mormon...they believe what they were taught, and they are taught to be very dedicated to those beliefs.

God can and does answer Mormon prayers, but His hope is that they will find the true Way.

Oh yes, I can agree that they are sincere. But sincerity will not save you. God will judge by the heart, and not the religious affiliation. However, if you hold to Mormon doctrine without question, then the Mormon Jesus is your focus and not the Jesus of the Gospels. They are two completely different Jesuses which is why the Mormons say the Bible is corrupted and that additional books are needed to "fill the gaps".

The Book of Mormon has been advertised in the Reader's Digest as "Another Testament". This gospel was given to Joseph Smith through the angel Moroni. Just this very "message" was given the only double Anathema in scripture by apostle Paul.

Galatians 1:8-9

But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.

Now the above "double whammy" curse is for those that preach it. However, the hearer, that is another matter. If you hold to the doctrines of a cursed book, your eternal destiny may be in question. Sincerity? Yes. But sincerely wrong.

I am not going to say who's prayers God will listen to and those He will not. If I have no scripture to back it up, it will only be my opinion. And that is not worth much.

I know for a fact that good LDS people believe that they follow Christ. That is the cornerstone of their religion, Right now my relief society is on a 14 day walk with Christ for the holidays, we are encouraged to keep a picture of Christ in our homes and teach our children about Christ. Without Christ the LDS religion would not exist.

I'm a Mormon, but I was protestant for about 17 to 18 years(I stuopped when I was around 17 or so) and in that time I went to mass for 2 years straight, and I had the occaisonal set of LDS missionaries come visit.

I see no different in the Jesus I believed while protestant, the Jesus I believed while going to Catholic Mass, or the Jesus I believe in now...they're all the same and anyone who claims otherwise is wrong.

Also, the Bible is corrupted, it was put together by men in 393 AD (google synod of Hipp) some things were left out, and I'm sure through the thousand years no one had a bible but the priests and royalty, that there were some things added...

The Book of Mormon is not meant to "fill in the gaps", it's just telling us what happened in the Americas.

All Christians can't even agree what Christianity is or what Jesus taught, let alone how sincere Mormons are in their faith. :-)

I've known a few that were not sincere, but most are.

Sure , pray to god's head all you want , but what's the matter with the rest of him ? Why not pray to the whole package ?

Sincerity does not save a person-Jesus does.
