Don't feel bad we didn't get a tree this year either. We just moved home after being out of town for a year due to my husbands work, and now we are building a new home. We just have not had time to get one this year. What I did was got green construction paper and let the kids cut out Christmas Trees from the paper and decorate them and put them up in the front window where the tree normally goes. We are still celebrating Christmas and the kids got tons of presents this year, but just no real tree. Once the kids see that Santa still came without a tree and start opening their presents, the fact that they had no tree won't even be an issue with them. Happy Holidays with or without a tree.

This is actually the first year I have not had a Christmas tree. My brother and sister moved out this summer and so it's just me in the house with the parents, and I really don't care about a Christmas tree anyways.. don't worry you're not the only one without a Christmas tree. :)

I didnt put up a tree or any decorations,. LOL. I am just to tired this year to bother. It is funny though last year we went all out Did the whole front yard up for the neighbor kids etc. No one else on the block did this. This year we decided not to do anything an lo and behold the entire neighborhood went all out. Oh well. Already planning the design for next year,.

You need to have a christmas tree at christmas!!! we too are moving early jan, but the kids hassled us for the tree to be put up. I put 3 sets of lights on it & a star on top and helloooooooooooo it looks great. Just a little effort goes a long way! Merry Christmas

It's never too late to put up a tree. My grandmother contemplated and contemplated about putting up a tree this year. She's 83 years old and has just had it with the hassle of putting up Christmas trees for so many years. She gave in herself and put one up today!

I am getting a divorce and moving out on thee 29th of December, so without telling our families over the holiday we decided to not really celebrate this year. No tree, just moving boxes and lots of tissues this year.

Just want to know if there will be a present for me under some tree out there, not one here.

  • I do this year, but when we moved in February that year we didn't have a tree either. My friends are also moving soon and they didn't put up a tree. Probably a good idea that you chose not too, that'd just have been more work! Wait till next year!

sure I easily have a Christmas tree, yet i'm pondering putting it up for Martin Luther King Day, and Saint Patricks Days and the Fourth of July through fact liberals will like seeing a "holiday Tree" up on those days.

Sweetie, a small one decorated with popcorn is fun too! You could visit the dollar store for some other cheap decorations.

But hey, if you are ok with having no tree, Merry Christmas to you anyway!

We don't have a tree yet this year. We were doing some remodeling and didn't get around to putting one up. I think we will, though. In some cultures, it is customary to set up and decorate your tree on Christmas Eve.
