Getting through Christmas?
I have a rather odd question. Now that my due date is so close, I am starting to freak out!
I have been 3 cm and around 75-80% effaced for three weeks now. I have had some bloody show off and on and the baby is at -1 station. My plug came out three weeks ago as well.
As much as I am ready to get the pregnancy over with and have my baby boy, I am terrified it's going to be during Christmas Eve or Christmas dinner! I have three girls and I don't want to go into labor and miss the whole "look what Santa brought" party.
Is there anything I can do to maybe put this off until atleast the day after Christmas? We have not had sex and I have not felt good the past few days so not much activity, just the bare minimum. I know they use bed rest sometimes to prolong labor when it's preterm.

i can see your dilemma, but honestly it made me smile bc/ it's sweet you are thinking of your girls so much that you would hold off giving birth for another day just to see their happiness on Christmas morning. All I can say is the rest may help, but if this baby's ready to come than look out world cause he's coming ready or not! I do hope everything will turn out perfect for you no matter what happens.

If your girls' baby brother was born on Christmas Day they wouldn't care less about anything else but him. They will be so excited the 'look what santa bought party' would be the last thing on their minds! If you happen to have your baby at Christmas there's not much you can do to stop him from making his appearance! It sounds as though you might not make it to Christmas Day though! Good luck, have a happy healthy baby!!!

the best present you can give your girls is a baby on Christmas Eve or day. I had my son on Mothers Day this year and my 4 yr old was thrilled.
