nintendo ds touch screen trouble?

i have a ds lite and its touch screen is completely unresponsive. when i turn the ds on it goes right past the warning screen and then the touch screen does nothing. i mean it shows its picture but touching it does nothing. i can't calibrate it beccause th stylus does nothing. i don't have a screen protector on it and its not that old. any ideas on how to make it work again?

Update:

i don't think that i ever put too much pressure on the screen. it looks fine, and the games still load up fine.

Did you know if you contact Nintendo and tell them about your problem they may refund you. They refunded me because they said this year they are having a big problem with the screens this year especialy on the lites because they are not as heavy duity has the original DS. Ok hope they refund ya buddy.

you either put too much pressure on the screen, it might be broken but dont get ur hopes up. if u bought an unused ds lite u have two styluses right so try the other one and see what happends =?

once you attempt to get into percentto chat you are able to basically use the keys. i think of that the ds needs to be calibrated. you're able to do this in the possibilities menu. to get into it: step a million: in case your ds is desperate to vehicle play or some thing like that the sport will initiate and it will pass the menu visual demonstrate unit so if it does this take the sport out until now turning it on step 2: now that your on the ds menu use the arrow keys to head down tho somewhat ds image on the backside of your visual demonstrate unit. it would be in the middle on the backside. step 3: as quickly as you get into settings you are able to desire to make certain some thing that sounds like a aim on the some distance good.click this to get into the calibration series. step 4: do what it says to calibrate it and your ds could desire to have a splendidly calibrated visual demonstrate unit. i wish this facilitates.

Talk to customer support about it... a better option of the two between talking to them and just going out and purchasing another one
