Is God wasteful if He created the beauty in the world and Universe to show us His awesome powers and wonder? Then He put it all in man's hands to manage His creation. I would call it another generous gift that man has mistreated and under appreciated. I guess the phrase is true, " No good deed goes unpunished." It shows how much God will go through to create just for man to enjoy. It is wasteful when man does not appreciate all the Lord has done for us and yet will not acknowledge Him as Lord and Savior. God even sent His only son to die on the cross for our sins so that we may have a way to be with Him in heaven free from hurt and sorrow. If we waste such a wonderful gift that Jesus gave us then we are set aside from heaven and fall like Lucifer did.

What if He created those billions of stars simply for our enjoyment when we walk out in the night and revel in their beauty? They remind us of His glory! Who knows how many other populated planets enjoy their glittering? We can't know His purpose for all those sparkling celestial bodies at this time in our lives. Just appreciate the awesome spectacle and know that to every thing, there is a purpose.

How sure are you that only our planet is populated?

And so what if it is?

God wants to do it so let Him! What did He "waste" by doing that anyway? I mean, He'll never run out of anything coz He has everything! LOL Maybe He just wants to entertain us. Make us feel like we aren't really alone.

She would be if that's what She did.

In fact though, She has created millions of populated planets with intelligent life forms, and billions of them where She is at work evolving new ones.

Maybe not every star is meant to have a planet revolving around it with life as we know it...living on it.

I don't for a minute though, believe that we're the only living things in the universe.

We have to determine the term 'wasteful' in order to understand this. Between having just one planet populated and having millions to die and suffer in some unconditional planet, which is wasteful? It helps us to understand and treasure what we have.

  • 1 decade ago

Why would that be 'wasteful'? Don't those very stars and planets and even the vastness of empty space, have some purpose and meaning and beauty to them, regardless of whether they contain anything we would recognize as life?

    Peace to you.

we don't know for sure that only one planet is populated. there are millions of galaxies much larger than our own that could have life on them. we don't know, we have no proof that there is or isn't life on them.

and even if there isn't any other life. i don't think the stars are a waste. look at how beautiful and magnificent they are!

and btw ♥Ikram♥Howa♥ - Allah is NOT God. sorry to burst your bubble

Who's to say He only populated our planet?

  • 1 decade ago

Who knows....maybe there are many more planets that are populated in who knows how many universes.

    Peace, Love, and Blessings
