GEtting a job? What if ... this is serious?

I know someone whom because of hard times is without a lisence, car, and lacks a desent work history- They are willing to do anykind of work- yet can not find employment anywhere-

What if you knew someone who was on the verge of homelessness and wanted to get on thier feet how would you advise them to find work?

Oh they will not be able to drive for 1 year minimum...

No money for the bus...

this is truly a person who wants to work- yet has been looking for months!

Perhaps you can help find them a job near where you work and they can carpool to work with you. Or maybe you have a friend in a company that is hiring who is willing to take him/her with them every morning.

The other option is to walk or ride a bike. Or like the other answer said, lend them the money for bus fare for a month or two until they get on their feet. Maybe you can make that their holiday gift - buy them a bus pass for the month of January.

People who say they cannot work because they have no money for the bus sound like people who are looking for excuses not to work.

Where I live people with no work history start out working at stores or fast food places. They also list with temp agencies.

maybe you could loan this person bus fare or they could borrow a bicycle or they could walk to work until they get a pay check.
