Why did he go there?

Question

My ex owes me money and has been ordered to pay it many times. Has been picked up on a warrant for not doing so, spent a week in jail.
Why would he go into a place where he knows that I hang out and am well known and liked? He did this Friday night. We've been divorced for 2 yrs. and in court many times since, never ending well for him. There was a warrant for his arrest and I had him picked up before he got out of the parking lot. The GF ended up going too before it was over.
Situation had to be really awkward for him because I came from a x-mas party and was dressed to kill. Although he was hanging with a well known vocalist in the area and his 28 yr. old blonde GF, no one paid them any attention at all after  his 43 yr. old EX-wife walked in and stoled the show! Members of his party were flirting with me! Since the divorce he lost everything. I still succeed and own 3 houses, and he witnessed firsthand the number and level of friendships I've acquired. All nonexistent with him.

Why would he go to a place where you are and he knows it? Because he wants you to see him with his girlfriend. Until you have a stable relationship in your life, he will do that. Once you have a new marriage or relationship, he won't matter so much. It's something you can't fake. You can look great for your years but he does have a girl friend. The bad feelings between you are not going to go away but he still thinks you are vulnerable. Until you are with someone and that person is a permanent part of your life, you will be always part of this tug of war.

You're quite a braggart, I can see why you two are divorced. You think way too highly of yourself and come off a bit conceited. If you can afford 3 homes, what the hell do you need your ex's money for? Because you're bitter that he's with a much younger woman and you just want to be an asshole in general?

I think you need to open your eyes , he know's it aggravates you into reaction when he shows up this doesnt even have anything to do with your ego , people like this love drama and need it , you would know this you were married to him after all , and i doubt the only reason he was jailed was for owing you money .

He goes to these places to show you may have gotten everything but you didnt get his balls and never will so just ignore him and stop feeding his ego because believe me hunny the joke is on you and your own ego.

Your mom is probably right.  He is curious about you and wants to see how you are doing in life.  Flaunting it isn't necessary though.  Just be yourself and live well.
