I have been taking a type of steroid for COPD and developed a yeast infection of the mouth. It is very painful and causes everything to burn my mouth therefore not able to eat much of anything. Could someone please help me resolve this problem as soon as possible so I can enjoy the New Years meal anyway. Thanks

You have thrush, go see your doctor. He will give you a swish and swallow or spit medication that will take care of it in a few days.

Take Acidophilus tablets found at drug or health food store, or drink milk with lactobacillus bacteria in it of which if also found in yogurt!!! But don't use the flavored. Use the all natural, unflavored kind!!! Or, talk to your doctor. Good luck to you!!!

plain yogurt will help. try to aviod anything thats flavored or sweetened, just plain yogurt. but it can take a while (up to a week). best to see a dr to get an antifungal medicine.
also, keep scraping out as much as you can every chance you get. it will help with the burning (tho it will burn as, and right after, you are doing it)

You'll have to get a prescription for an oral anti-fungal medicine. I don't think there's anything you can buy over the counter for thrush.
