Christians only please - Paul vs. Diciples?
Why does the Christian religion put more stock in what Paul wrote than what any of the original diciples wrote? Paul didn't even become a Christian until after Jesus was crucified but he has more writings included in the Bible than any of the actual diciples that walked with and knew Jesus when He was alive. I am a Christian so I am not trying to offend anyone. I am just curious.
I have read the Bible. Both the Old & the New Testament. And I have the utmost respect for Paul's intelligence and suffering. I just find more people reference Paul's books than others. I'm not saying either is better than others just looking for opinions. My favorite is Matthew.
Oh my goodness! I understand his devotion. I understand he suffered. I don't question the validity. Please read the question!

Paul wrote a lot more than the others. He was trained as a pharisee, an expert in the religious law of Israel. Paul was highly educated and spoke perfect Hebrew and street Greek. He traveled more and wrote many letters of encouragement.
I don't think Christians "put more stock" in Paul's writing but there are more of them to quote from. Luke John and Peter also wrote more than one book of the new testament.
Christ quoted much from the old testament and so did all the new testament writers. The old testament is just as much a part of the gospel, the good news of the kingdom of God, as is the new testament. Many Christians would do well to have a better familiarity of the old testament.

I do not think that we put more stock in what Paul wrote- however when you stop and think about it, when Paul use to kill those who followed Christ and God completely changed his heart- why wouldn't you want to here these stories to show that God can still change lives? Peter wrote books, John wrote 1 and 2nd John- so these are books written (through the Holy Spirit) of people who walked with Jesus. Jesus revealed Himself to Paul on the road to demascus- so he encountered Jesus too

I don't. You have to take all of scripture together. If I had to pick a disciple that I put more "stock" in, it would be Peter. After all, he was the one who received the keys to the kingdom of Heaven from Jesus.

No scripture has any more "stock" than any other... save perhaps Jesus' words in the Gospels.

what you see here is normal christian response to having any of their beliefs questioned... in any way.
