I am a 51 year old woman who has been married to the same man for 32 years. I have 2 grown children, a daughter 30 and a son 23. I also have a granddaughter that is 12 years old. I was a singer and traveled across the US in a band I was in with my husband when we first got married. We played music for the first 11 years of our marriage. After having my second child we left the band and settled down with our kids. In the past 15 years I have dealt with the death of my sister-in-law, my mom, my brother and my dad. All but my dad were killed in accidents. I have dealt with a child on meth and believe meth will destroy anyone that gives it a chance. I was raised Catholic, left church & religion and became a born again Christian in 1999. I feel strongly about my faith but will not force it on anyone. But if you are interested I will tell you about all the joy it has brought me. I care and respect others feelings. I hate greed, racism and violence of any sort.

  • Why can I not question Yahoo's policies without my question being deleted?

I am only trying to figure out how to stop someone from hacking into my account. Is this a problem for Yahoo?

  • Is there any way to contact Yahoo regarding my account being hacked into?

This has happened several times. I have changed my password about 5 times and yet I am still getting hacked into. I have found no link on Yahoo to contact anyone if you have any problems. I have had Yahoo for over 20 years but will have no choice but to cancel the account if security will always be an issue. Has anyone ever successfully stopped hacking into their account. If so, how?

  • Should I stop contributing to my 401K until the market settles back down?

Are there any financial advisers out there that could make any recommendations on whether I should keep contributing? What would be the pros & cons of continuing contributions versus temporarily stopping contributions?

  • Why are my moods and emotions so strongly effected by the phase of the moon?

Does anyone else find this to be true in your life? I'll, all of sudden, for no apparent reason, start to feel anxiety, stress, crabbiness. I have no reason to feel this way but it is how I feel. Then I'll notice that the moon is full or just coming out of the full phase. Is there some scientific reason why moon phases would effect your mood? And is there anything that can be done to prevent it?

  • Has anyone ever seen this movie and if so do you know the name of it?

Years ago I watched this movie about a small town somewhere in the southeast. It was about how the whole town no longer could control their impulses. A chemical had gotten into the fields where the cattle fed and was transferred into their milk. Whatever this chemical was had caused the whole town to not be able to control any impulses. They would go around beating each other up with bats and killing each other. Eventually they did find out what caused it. I only saw this movie once and I believe it was back in the late 80's.

  • Do you think the people in charge of the presidential debates are discriminating against lower & middle class?

Has anyone noticed that the Democratic & Republican debates could only be seen by people with satelite or cable that got MSNBC? I have cable but do not have that channel. I wanted to watch the debates so I could evaluate what each candidate had to offer. After realizing that I could not even see it I began to wonder about low income people that don't have cable or satelite. And believe it or not there are people with no interntet access either. Are they all at the mercy of the news media only? I think so. I have a theory that news media only put on TV what they need to help influence the American peoples thoughts and beliefs. This is another prime example of why I believe this to be true. Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

  • Do you know who recorded this Contemporary Christian Song?

And do you know the name of the song? It goes:

All the chisles I've dulled carving idols from stone that have crumbled like sand neath the waves.

I've recklessly built all my dreams in the sand just to watch them all wash away.

Through another day, another child, another chance to reconcile

    To _ _ _ _ _

And reaching out my weary hand I pray that you'll understand

You're the only one faithful to me.

  • Do you get frustrated with answerers that seem to not have really read the question?

I see so many people answer questions that it seems they didn't even read. Are people only reading so far into the question and then are so busy thinking about how they are going to respond that they totally miss the point of the question? Will this question have any effect on those people?

  • For adults over 50 - what is your outlook on life?

I don't want to offend anyone but I am curious about this. I have known several older adults, some may call them Senior Citizens, and have noticed that some have such a positive outlook on life that it just amazes me. And yet I have met others that seem so angry. Sometimes they are couples but have a completely different disposition. For example, my mom was a very positive person. She had suffered through many hardships in her life but still remained, until her death, so positive about everything. On the other hand my dad, who also suffered many tragedies, was such a negative person until the day he died. So what is it that makes you either a happy old person or an angry old person. I'm getting close to being a senior myself and really don't want to be an angry & crabby old woman. Can anyone tell me what it is that helps them to keep such a positive outlook on life when life has been so cruel to you?

  • What to do when your boss asks you to do something dishonest?

What would you do or say if your boss asked you to do something dishonest? For example I have a request for credit info from someone on a company we have not done business with. This company does not have an account with us. But it is one of my bosses friends. He wants me to fax back the credit reference form and say they are a good customer. What would you do or say in a situation like this? By not doing it because of morals am I jeopardizing my job? Am I being petty?

  • Christians only please - Paul vs. Diciples?

Why does the Christian religion put more stock in what Paul wrote than what any of the original diciples wrote? Paul didn't even become a Christian until after Jesus was crucified but he has more writings included in the Bible than any of the actual diciples that walked with and knew Jesus when He was alive. I am a Christian so I am not trying to offend anyone. I am just curious.

  • Have you ever given an unsympathic answer to someone regarding suicide and then?

And then heard on the news how someone shoots a bunch of people and then kills himself? I only ask this because a couple of days ago I had responded to someone asking about suicide and was reading the other answers. I take all suicidal talk seriously but saw one response that was so rude I couldn't believe it. They called this person many names and told them to just go ahead and do it. The next day, all over the news, is a story about a gunman in Nebraska walking into a mall and killing about 8 people and then killing himself. Also in the area where I live there was a teenager that killed herself because of what some other people were saying to her on myspace. Do you think that people should take suicidal questions more seriously on answers? And if someone gives a hateful and mean response to these questions should they be suspended from answers?

  • Does anyone else find it irritating when you specifically check to see if something is answered?

Does this aggravate you? When you have checked someones question for answers and none show up so you take the time to answer the question only to find out after you hit "Submit" that several people have already given the same answer? Must be a pet peeve of mine because it aggravates me. I mean if I see that someone has already given the same answer that I would give then I just move on to a different question. Just wondering if others deal with this.

  • My husband hurt his back falling down the steps. Any Advice?

My husband fell down our carpeted steps this morning and hit his back on the left side by his kidney. He is having a hard time walking and is complaining of a burning sensation. Could this be serious? I haven't been able to get him to go to the doctor yet. Does anyone have any idea of what damage could be caused or any advice on pain relief? I'm still trying to get him to go get it checked out but he insists it isn't necessary. He never complains about pain but today he is obviously in a lot of pain. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

  • Does anyone else get depressed during the holidays?

I know that it is supposed to be a happy time and what the real purpose is. But how do I get past the facts. Last time I saw my mom 10 yrs ago on Thanksgiving. She was killed in a car wreck one week later. Dad died 3 years ago on Jan 4th. I'm always broke around Christmas so shopping is not a joy. I'll have to spend my whole day cooking Thanksgiving and Christmas. Haven't even been able to afford a turkey this year due to unexpected financial problems. And looking at other people's worse problems does not make me feel better about what I am going through. It just makes me more sad that so many do without while so few splurge. Going to help others at food pantries & dinners is not an option because my immediate family is depending on me to provide their dinner. And the weather is not responsible because it is warm & sunny here today. Anyone have any ideas to help me get through this holiday season?

  • Where can I get dyes to make my own paint colors?

Does anyone know where I can get the dyes used in making different paint colors? My dad used to be a painter and he had these tube like jars that had different colors which he added to white paint to make his own custom colors. I would like to be able to create my own colors.
