Are you a good dancer, even if you hate dancing?

My boyfriend is a great dancer, even though he hates dancing. He will dance at special occasions, and if we go out to a place that has a band, he will pick ONE dance to dance with me, and that’s it for the night. I won’t force him to dance with me, so instead my girlfriends and I dance with each other instead.

So if you’re a good dancer, yet don’t enjoy dancing, then why don’t you enjoy it? Secondly, did you grow up around parents who danced? I did, and that has something to do with why I like to dance.

And Happy Friday everyone!

I enjoy dancing, and I (don't want to toot my own horn), but I'm pretty good.

I think the key to dancing is being comfy in your own skin and having fun!

I wouldn't say I'm a "good" dancer, but I'm not a bad one either... but, either way, I hate doing it, and when I have a girlfriend, typically I do the same thing as your boyfriend unless I'm really drunk, or I know my girlfriend isn't having a good time because of me not dancing - then I'll dance to make her happy.

As far as why I don't enjoy it..... I don't know how to explain it. I just get self conscious while doing it, and I get bored fairly easily with it, especially when its like "grinding" dancing (which is what most people do nowadays sadly).... oh excuse me girl I don't know, can I just hump you for about 2 hours without having intercourse? It's a move I learned from my un-neutered dog.

And my parents will dance, but only at weddings and stuff (ie they never just go out to dance).

I have the moves that made even the belly dance instructor go "damn, girl". I love dancing when I go out on weekends. Doesn't matter the music, as long as it has a good rhythm.

Happy Friday and happy New Years to boot.

I may not be very good, but I love danceing my heart out, event if I do look like a fool. I think guys are not much fun when it comes to dancing. I think they are afraid of looking stupid. I hate that my husband doesnt ever want to dance. Maybe they just like to see two girls dancing!!!

OMGGG!!! I additionally hate putting them on. it is so stressful! yet think of... without tights human beings might see your underclothes under your leotard. :PP additionally they seem effective and keep your legs from jiggling. Dance tights are great as a results of fact there additionally softer then ordinary tights. And those with the ft on the bottoms (transition tights) are even greater suitable cuz whilst your donning capris or denims you could purely roll them up and no one might see them and you are going to be able to roll them up once you do no longer experience like donning footed tights. (If it extremely is wonderful at the same time with your studio's dress code.) LOL... i desire I helped!! :DDD

I enjoy performing professionally but I hate dancing occasionally ( I tried to make it rhyme LOL). I just can't do it at clubs, without a "higher" motivation of achievement or meaning. Call me over analytical and boring, nothing I haven't heard before.

In a broader sense, I don't think you have to enjoy something to be good at it.

For instance, there are two things I've been told I am really good at, but detest both of them. Giving public speeches and Sales jobs. Seems I can persuade people very easily and sell a snow-cone to an eskimo, but I HATE doing either one.

I was a pretty good dancer when I did recitals, and I guess I'm good enough when I dance at parties (but that kind of dancing doesn't require much talent).

Not a good dancer, but don't hate it.

    My parents didn't dance.

I've thought about taking lessons so I wasn't such a nerd.
