not giving excuses for the wings but they have played more games in shorter time period than usual for hockey teams to play. the blues are a much better team this year than the last couple, and i do believe legace gets up more for games against the wings since they just let him go a couple years back after taking them to one of their best seasons ever. the wings were also without zetterberg in tonights game and is big even on a team with their talent. murray is also a very good coach and the blues have become better under him( murray does have the most wins as a head coach for the la kings franchise which says a lot since they did have the great one for five seasons) but in hockey i've seen the worst team beat the best team in conference play before and look back to two years ago in the playoffs whenn the bottom four teams upset the top four in the west including no 8 edmonton over no 1 detroit that year.

You should look back a few days and see how many Wings fans posted when they ran Legace from the net and dominated them. None, its business as usual.
Its old hat to us, but we understand tonight was a very big deal for you guys. Happy new year!!!

Wow...shiznit happens!! Big Wing fan here, can't win 'em all...
I like Owen Nolan as well, was a real bruiser, all around threat with the Sharks....is from UK, but more accurately Belfast, Northern Ireland. I don't know if he's a loyalist or unionist, but in one case, he might violently object to being called "British!" He might consider himself Canadien or Yank.

you might not have had anything to drink but the Wings obviously had
i know this isn't connected but it's nice to see Owen Nolan (the only British born player in the NHL) score tonight

as long as the blues play murray's game, they are tough. much improved since the last coach.
