Christians, what do you think Heaven will be like?
Now I know that our Earthly concepts of Heaven don't even come close to the real thing, but tell me: what you think Heaven will be like and/or what you are looking forward to?

It will be an utterly glorious City. It will be beyond heaven, for in Revelation we are told that after the first heaven and the first earth pass away, the great City of God, New Jerusalem, comes down out of heaven from God. This City shines with the glory of God and its brilliance is beyond the most exquisite jewels we know of. It has great, high walls and 12 gates, forever open. The City is pure gold, as pure as glass. There is no temple in it because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The glory of God gives it light and the Lamb is its lamp and there is no night. The nations will bring their best into it and nothing impure will ever enter it (Rev. chap 21).
This language is as close as we can get to the wonder of being in God and Christ's presence - which is heaven. Just compare this City of God with man-made cities - made of concrete, steel and asphalt, dead and dark places that consume men, like a parasite. Man's cities are a counter-creation of God's living creations. I'm looking forward to just being in God's Holy City.

It could be the most beautiful, perfect place... but imagine being there for eternity!
100 years, fine. 200 years, ok you read loads a books and write a few. 500 hundreds years, getting a big dull- perfection is by now boring. 1000 years- PLEASE LET ME DIE. 1 MILLIONS years- you are a rocking mess in the corner of your mansion, every book ever written has been read, every puzzle has been completed. Every conversation has been spoken... and you still have the rest of eternity to endure it all again.
I wouldn't like perfection even for 50 years- when you think back at your life, isn't it the times where you had to battle through things, accomplish things, etc, that you remember with the most fondness? It is the downs that make the ups even more special.

From the Bible description, I know that it's a kingdom and a kingdom of power. There is no sadness or sorrow or death there. It is filled with creatures beyond our imagination. The Bible descriptions of angels are totally unlike anything that society teaches us they are. We read of beings that are like men but made of fire and bronze. The cherubim are not the fat little babies presented in art but there are only four of them and they surround the throne of God. They are living creatures with six wings each. One has the face of an ox, one a bull, one an eagle and one a bear. They are covered in eyes and they dart back and forth continually praising God. The city of God is paved with gold and has the river of life running through it. There are many mansions there and spiritual warriors beyond compare with the Lord Jesus Christ as their Head. From a personal viewpoint, I see Heaven as an amazing place so full of wonder that boredom could never come in. All the mysteries of space and time will be revealed to those who dwell there and each one will have a role to play. I think about infinity filled with the most amazing galaxies and stars and planets and nebulas and things secret to man. It's going to be amazing :)

When I was a kid I always imagined Heaven as a large bright field with a crisp clear bright blue sky. With a cottage in the middle of the field, with a roof made of daisies. I lived there with my family and dear friends. All of the colors were rich and bright. To me that was the very idea of lovely and pleasant. Now, I don't know. This is probably weird, but I'm actually really excited to see :)

In Revelation, we are told that heaven is pure, beautiful. There will be no sorrow, for God will whipe every tear from our eyes. There will be no disease, poverty, sadness, or anger. It will be perfection in every single way. Those admitted into heaven will always be with each other, the streets will be made of clear gold. It will be like a city, with 7 walls encrusted with different jewels.

what makes home, home? the things that fill it? or the people you love being there?
the Lord, my reason for being there, is the crowning glory of heaven. heaven isn't heaven without Him. to know the Lord God of the universe face to face is something unimaginable.
it will be wonderful, if you think this world and creation is beautiful, can you imagine what the abode and dwelling of God is like? He came from everlasting. if i know the Lord, there will be an immense amount of love in heaven. perfect love as we have not known it aside from Jesus Christ.

I will be happiest to see my grandmother and all the people that I miss that are waiting on me. I will be happy that there is no concept of time, and nothing will ever have to be done or accomplished besides being in Gods presence. No more pain, stife, or tears and the best part is never growing old.

I'm sure it will be the most beautiful thing anyone has ever seen! And I'm sure the reason God has told us so little about it is because if we knew all about it, we would be committing suicide to get there! I'm looking forward to seeing my Savior's wonderful face and meeting the martyrs and hero's of the Bible. I'm looking forward to a perfect world where there is no need for a sun because God will shine so brightly!

I imagine a tropical island with brightly colored fish swimming through warm water. Beautiful music can be heard, floating above the rustling of the tropical plants in the warm breeze. A big soft chair is spread out on the sand, and sitting in it is a penguin. He's smoking a cigar and in one hand-like flipper, he is holding a whip. I'm chained to a palm tree and he's whipping me. Wait! This isn't heaven!!! Where the $#@ am I???

Christ had difficulty trying to explain it and he knew what it was like. Whatever I think it may be certainly will pale in comparison to the genuine article.
