Radio fence: professional install or do-it-yourself?

The salesman just left. $2300! Wow. Amazon sells do-it-yourself for under $300. The yard is mostly soft lawn, so the wire is an easy install. Is there a difference in the hardware to make up the difference in cost: I mean, is one PetSafe product (Amazon) better than another (professional install)?

Do it yourself! Try buying a kit from LLBean, which includes a vid on how to train your beastie. No special hardware is needed, just a shovel. That's how I did mine.

I like petsafe and have used it for 5 or 6 years now. The hardest part is getting the wire in the ground deep enough so that it won't get damaged. Also if you're doing more than a small back yard, you'll need to get an extra spool of wire. It's simple to hook up and activate.
