What to do near Ocala, Florida? Gainesville?
HI, tomorrow is my last day on vacation in Ocala, Florida. I was set on going to Silver Springs and we decided to go on a weekday when it would be less crowded. Little did we know they are not open then.
So I am looking for something else to do tomorrow. I really like zoos and animals. My boyfriend wants to go to the art museum (what do u know about it? is it nice?). We are not sure what else is around this area. Maybe something in Gainesville...any suggestions are much appreciated. thanks
thank u guys, we ended up just doing some shopping and catching a movie since it was our last day, and we had to drive 1000 miles the next day so we decided to just relax.. great suggestions tho! ill let voters decide

Gainesville has a natural history museum & butterfly exhibit that's great. Not to far away is Homassassa Springs.

Yes there is the Florida Natural History Museum(which has a VERY nice butterfly exhibit) and the Harn Museum next door. There is also Paynes Prairie (near Micanopy). You can also go and tour the UF campus...its really nice. :)
