How far should the right to die go?

When we talk about the right to die, how far do you think it should go? For instance, does someone who is suicidal have the right to die? Does someone who is dying from a disease have the right to die?

Should we, as a society; help those who feel they have the right to die if they so chose to?

Update:

And who gets to decide if the physical or MENTAL anguish is too much??

I think any adult who is terminally physically ill should have the choice to end their life assisted by a physician. I think mentally ill people shouldn't be assisted by a physician at least until they have attempted some sort of treatment.

Why is it ok for us to put down our pets who are old, hurt, mentally not there. But as humans we HAVE to suffer till our last breath. I think we should be allowed to have someone assist us if we can't take the suffering anymore. Now, if you just want to kill yourself, do it on your own.
