What have you been dead-wrong about so far?
Been away with work, a home sale and a subsequent move but wanted to take this opportunity to wish you all a Happy belated New Year.
The turn of the calendar led me to some reflection on preseason assumptions I had made and how completely wrong I was about some. So, in the spirit of sharing, any preseason notions of yours go over like a lead balloon?
For my part, underestimating the strength of the Devils (again) was a misstep and a half, but predicting a big-time, breakout year for Drew Stafford was the rarest of gems. LOL

Welcome back and Happy New Year to you too.
I am not big on predictions, but the only one I made at the beginning of the season was that the Flyers would be where they are now. I know, it wasn't the biggest stretch given their off-season.
My prediction for this year is that the Devils are going to upset the Senators and represent the East in the finals.

We can all be unsuitable. None people is ultimate with complete expertise of the whole lot, hence we will all make errors (and do). Obviously, we each and every consider we're proper, or we would not hassle following the publications we're on. It most often takes some thing important to vary ones notion and notion techniques. If it occurs to me, it may not be the primary time I've needed to quit and compare my ideals, my angle, my movements. It's known as studying, and that's some thing that all of us must do.

The emergence of the Phoenix Coyotes as an NHL contender. Picked them outta the playoffs again. The trade for Bryzgalov turned their season around. Reminds me of the Calgary Flames after they got Miika Kiprusoff midseason.

I was convinced that the Oilers were going to be the worst team in hockey this year, but after tonights 0-7 loss to Nashville, it's obvious that it's the Kings.

Huselius not getting run out of Calgary by Mike Keenan. I thought he would crumble like an Oreo cookie in milk when Keenan arrived, since it was Keenan that ran him from Florida in the past. He has really turned it up a notch this year.

Since I have been around this stupid sport way too long to make predictions every one I've made is dead on. Other than that with my McCown's Law in front of me I'm inspired to say I was dead wrong earlier this week. I thought I'd made a mistake.

Seriously, who would have thought that Dallas was going to have one of the best offenses in the NHL at the half way point? I think that just about everybody believed that they would have decent defese but wouldnt be able to put the puck in the opposing net.
