Laptop screen settings help please?

If you mean using Internet Explorer, press Ctrl and rotate mouse wheel with Windows XP or Ctrl - (minus) with Vista [or Ctrl + for larger].

yeah she has accidently pressed the screen change short cut on the keyboard which changes the laptop from the laptop screen to an external monitor screen which has a diff resolution.

A lot of laptops have a fn button normally in a different colour, hold this and press one of the F buttons like F3, I am not sure what laptop she has so do not know which one she should choose. The correct key will have something like LCD/CRT or a picture of two types of screen on them.

That or tell her to turn the laptop off and on again.

When everything goes big right away I assume it is the display/res settings;

Right click your desktop, go to Properties, go to the Settings tab and slide the little resolution bar up and down to the desired settings; the higher you go the smaller things will be, the lower the more large they will appear.

Try and do this; odds are it'll fix your problem.

If worst comes to worst do a system restore to the hour before this problem happened (start->programs->accessories->system->system restore) and it'll be fixed as if never happened.

rightclick on your desktop background. a menu appears choose the last one then when a screen pops up click the last tab. on that screen there is a bar you can drag with number xxx X xxx

drag the bar all the way to the right and click apply button.

that's a function of the stepped forward ability settings. good click on your laptop, flow to residences, flow on your show saver and click on the link for ability settings. there will be an selection decrease than the stepped forward settings that enables you to pick what occurs once you click the ability button, or once you shut the lid.
