What do you think of Kerry's endorsement of Obama?
I found Kerry's endorsement somewhat interesting. It's clear that Kerry was never a populist like Edwards; those two men had serious differences when Kerry was running for president. And Clinton will always have her husband's legacy, for good or ill, hovering over her.
Obama appears to something "new" to the Democratic race. His racial profile will likely never play a public significance but rather remain within the silence of the private conversations of those opposed to a black president. His message remains astoundingly vague and largely mimics Clinton's agenda.
How does Kerry's endorsement of Obama affect his campaign?

People are not going to vote for Obama because Kerry supported him, but Kerry's connections, friends, and his personal experience in running for president, should help Obama.
For me, what this shows is that Kerry is still against the establishment even when he is part of it.

Helps, I like it. Obama gets access to Kerry's resources and network. Can't hurt, going against the Clinton machine.

now we know what Kerry really thought of the man he wanted to take with him to the White House.

I think it is meaningless. But at least, poor Hitlery and Edwards, they didn't get Scurry's endorsement...
