Do anti-Ron Paul people want the USA to fail economically?

I can't understand why otherwise enlightened people think it is kooky to support free enterprise, honest money and limited government. Can any Ron Paul critics rationally explain their position, or do they not understand basic economics?

If I've learned anything in my life, it is the masses are able to live a schizophrenic reality. Many educated/logical people will fall victim to silly fallacies, yet they remain dependent upon logic the rest of the time.

The anti Ron Paulians are either Democrats that fear him (they should,he'd beat any of them with the GOP nomination), Neo-Cons afraid of losing power; or they genuinely don't agree with him.

It doesn't help that Ron Paul supporters are still spamming everything, it makes us look like a cult, it was necessary in the beginning; but, more straightforward campaigning should now be taking place. His campaign needs to mature NOW to appeal to mainstream Americans. We need to remain passionate; but, people are turned off when you try to shove truth down their throat.

The critics don't need to explain rationally, that goes back to my first statement here. It's like trying to rationally justify Islam or Christianity, you have to resort to scare tactics and/or try to rationalize/justify things that are not logical (sorry if I offend). The same notion applies here.

Keep this quote in mind: "Make the lie big, keep it simple, keep repeating it, eventually people will believe it"-Adolf Hitler. The masses are writing off Ron Paul because they do not apply thought, it boils down to this.

The mainstream media and Ron Paul's enemies have managed to label we supporters (and RP) as some fanatic cult conspiracy theorists; that's the thing, logic is not essential in this situation (though it damned well should be).

They can't fight based on logic; so, they resort to extreme tactics that work on the masses: RP was/is a RACIST!!!Jumpin Jehova Witness!, Ron Paul accepts money from RACIST group! "long-shot/fringe candidate," "if we implement Ron Paul's plan we'd be going backwards 100 years..."etc. It's illogical, simple, but it works on most people.

We're like Ancient Rome, toward the end of Empire, they were focusing more on the Games than their Civic life. We're more concerned about Britney Spears than addressing the problems, we'd rather pretend they're not there. Keep on trying to awaken minds good Sir, we need people that care more than ever. Sorry I didn't focus too well, I'm frustrated with how the campaign is going, mindless morons, etc. Cheers!

Actually martinx we need Andrew Jackson right now within relation to the economy(The only president ever to have the US out of debt.) keep in mind however he was no humanitarian. But his ideals and what he implemented in relation to fiscal conservancy were undeniable. Jackson and Jefferson should both be looked upon for better understanding here. Dr. Paul is indeed an old fashioned liberal. That would be a conservative today.

I would not say that all anti-Ron Paul people want our

economy to fail, but one has to wonder what Hillary Clinton

wants to do to spur economic growth. I also wonder what

Barack Obama thinks would spur economic growth. An

expanded free trade policy is the surest way to economic ruination.

they're just so used to the norm of the usual political parties positions that anything other than the same old practice seems foreign and abnormal to them.

At least, even if Dr. Paul doesn't win the nomination, his message of freedom, liberty, and free enterprise without government red tape did not fall into deaf ears. the younger generation likes his message, and when this old generation is dead, we'll be in charge putting in practice Dr. Paul's vision for America.

I'm a PRO-Ron Paul supporter, and Ron Paul wise-ly states that the loss of VALUE of the U. S. dollar is the reason prices on gas, food, Gold, and almost everything else are rising almost daily.

Bring back sound money, with Ron Paul, or we'll be paying $10.00 per gallon for gas & $5.00 for a loaf of bread shortly.

I know. They somehow think the IRS and Fed would magically pump up the economy. And also paying for this war, we are getting bankrupt. Too bad we have to borrow money from China to finance our empire. And our dollar is weak, since we print it out of thin air without a backed currency. It's funny the Canadian dollar surpassed our value. Bring back Thomas Jefferson!
