Drinking colored sodas?

If someone drinks colored sodas all day, how do the kidneys perform to filter the color. Also, where does the color go? (please don't say that the caramel color dyes your poop)?

Update:

Then can we safely say that colored sodas, or even more, the green in broccoli or red in cherry Jolly Ranchers comes out as fecal matter?

the colors are metabolized in the body and the kidneys remove the water, with the metabolites suspended, everything comes out the same color because the color is changed by the digestive system.

color in the broccoli is organic, body has evolved to deal with it. all the others you mentioned are chemical derivatives, not organic.

Well, what goes in must go out sometime. Artificial colors aren't very good for you if you eat them all the time. To be honest, soda isn't good for you period, even if it is Sugar Free or just plain soda. Soda tends to make you very hyper as it has sugar and (sometimes) caffeine. Drinking lots of caffeinated products can cause "hypertension." With this, blood vessels get damaged, as well your kidneys because of over usage of your heart.
